 SOMTEL SAAXIL REGIONAL MANAGER(RM)- SOMTEL SOMALILAND

Company Summary:

Somtel company of one of the companies under Dahabshiil Group, Dahabshiil Group, the fastest growing business group with interests in financial services, banking, telecommunications, real estate, and energy & power sectors among others. plans to recruit Saaxil Regional Manager- Somtel Somaliland, who will oversee Somtels activities in Saaxil Somaliland.

General Position Summary:

Saaxil Regional Manager (RM) will provide segment reports to General Manager and is responsible for maximizing our sales team potential in Sahil region. She/He will also collaborate with All Somtel departments for the execution of plans and regional strategies. Commercial function will be the prime role and working commercial department to meet customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by creating, driving, and executing end-to-end sales plans for specific products and industry initiatives in the company product portfolio.RM will manage Somtel regional administrative and other Somtel operations to meet or exceed corporate-set goals. She/He will forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly targets and goals and assist staff achieve their goals.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Accomplishes regional objectives by proposing, contribute selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees in assigned in Sahil region; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.

  2. Achieves regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining regional sales system improvements; implementing change.

  3. Meets regional sales and financial objectives by forecasting requirements; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

  4. Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for each district in support of national objectives.

  5. Maintains and expands customer base by counseling district sales representatives; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities.

  6. Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.

  7. Define and ensure consistent implementation sales strategy and business plan in the regions

  8. Support establishing regional direct sales network and ensure maximum reach across region

  9. Enforce brand across all direct sales channels

  10. Enforce Customer Care policies and procedures

  11. Coordinate promotional activities with Sales Support and Marketing

  12. Supervise regional offices and ensure sufficient resources and staffing

  13. Monitor retail outlet stores performance and compliance

  14. Drive audit and quality assurance operations within regional retail outlet stores, by coordinating the execution of audit inspections and quality assurance operations in regional retail outlet stores

Team of Zone Managers, Sales and Customer Care staff, Cashiers, outdoor, and other support staff

Works Directly With:

Commercial, eDahab, Operations, HR, Finance, Technical, Other regions, and Regions Coordination

Skills and Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field from a reputable University

  2. Minimum of 10 years total work experience, of which at least 5 years in sales role for telecommunications company.

  3. Proficient and fluent in spoken and written English Language

  4. Spoken and written knowledge of Somali Language is essential

  5. Strong operational and strategic commercial management

  6. Important to have broad and in-depth knowledge across the range of marketing, distribution and service/customer experience areas

  7. Excellent excel and presentation skills

Environmental Conditions

This position is based in Barbara, Somaliland and is unaccompanied. Somtel Team members represent the company and Dahabshiil Group both during and outside of work hours when deployed in a field posting or on a visit to a field posting.
