What will you do

What will you do?

• Provide direct support to Cooperating Partners (CPs) in beneficiary registration, screening, and approval for in-kind or Cash Based Transfers (CBT) support via WFP corporate beneficiary management database – SCOPE.

• Assist to ensure that CBT and In-kind support related processes in Puntland are managed according to WFP corporate guidelines, standards, and procedures.

• Liaise with different units to ensure coordinated implementation of cash, voucher and in- kind food transfers.

• Provide effective and timely day to day response to CP requests and concerns on beneficiary data analysis and management.

• Where applicable, review all CPs proposals on CBT and In-kind assistance, and provide feedback within WFP and to respective CPs.

• Contribute to the preparation of accurate beneficiary enrolment, distribution and payment lists and reporting on CBT and In-kind activities to facilitate the Area Office and management decision making

• Assist in establishing and refining SOPs, internal controls and procedures related to CBT and In-kind food assistance.

• Undertake field and other support missions to capacity build CP staff engaged in beneficiary data management

• Transfer needed skills and approaches on deduplication and general beneficiary data

Do you meet the minimum requirements?

• Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in administration, public health, nutrition, or related functional area is desirable. • Four years of progressively responsible support experience in emergency assistance and humanitarian programmes with good knowledge and experience. • Working in relief, nutrition, SafetyNet, M&E or livelihood-related program activities. Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relations with counterparts, and government officials, including NGO partners, other UN agencies, and private businesses.

• Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Somalia language is a requirement.

Are you competent for this job? Do you have

• Experience working with various implementing partners (NGOs, UN agencies, government counterparts) is considered an added advantage. • Ability to plan and organize work, resourcefulness, initiative, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent writing and presentation skills in English.

• Training and/or experience utilizing computers including word processing, spreadsheet and other WFP standard software packages and systems.

• Knowledge and experience in WFP interventions in Somalia is an added advantage.
