What will you do

Facilitate, review, and coordination of data matters related to WFP corporate databases like COMET and SCOPE related existing and new Field Level Agreements with respective partners

• Take lead in training for technical staff and creating general staff awareness on data analytics and beneficiary information management.

• Facilitate data related processes and activities including aspects such as generating Food Release Notes, entering data in Distribution Reports, Completion Reports, cash and food distribution data, and extracting reports.

• Consolidate specific programme intervention planned targets, progress against plans and respective outputs and achievements.

• Make continuous follow-ups with AO Office data colleagues to ensure timely submission of reports and entry of data in COMET, SCOPE and other corporate systems, and related engagements on data with existing CPs

• Also, support Field Office staff in processes involved in creation of Food Release Notes on time for Logistics to dispatch and pre-position Food at different Food Distribution Points.

• Ensure quality but also timely entry of data and assisting in validating reports if required.

• Participate in the AO weekly, bi-weekly and monthly end reconciliation processes of CPs and WFP data.

Contract Duration: 3 Months (Initial)

• Lead and demonstrate visibility of WFP’s interventions (through digital platforms, AO briefs, etc) in Puntland.

• Perform any other duties as required.

Do you meet the minimum requirements?

• Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in administration, public health, nutrition, or related functional area is desirable. • Four years of progressively responsible support experience in emergency assistance and humanitarian programmes with good knowledge and experience. • Working in relief, nutrition, SafetyNet, M&E or livelihood-related program activities. Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relations with counterparts, and government officials, including NGO partners, other UN agencies, and private businesses.

• Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Somalia language is a requirement.

Are you competent for this job? Do you have

• Experience working with various implementing partners (NGOs, UN agencies, government counterparts) is considered an added advantage. • Ability to plan and organize work, resourcefulness, initiative, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent writing and presentation skills in English.

• Training and/or experience utilizing computers including word processing, spreadsheet and other WFP standard software packages and systems.

• Knowledge and experience in WFP interventions in Somalia is an added advantage.
