The Oxfam Horn, East, and Central Africa Regional Platform is undergoing transition arising from creation on One Oxfam in Africa (OiA). The change will involve merger of Oxfam International Regional Platforms in Africa into a single entity called Oxfam in Africa. The HECA Team has worked together for the last many years. It is anticipated that as part of the change some staff will be retained in the new entity while some may not.

From 21st to 22nd February 2023, ECA will host the partners it has worked with over the years to reflect on HECA legacy and lessons learnt. This will be followed by a staff team building retreat from 23rd to 25th February 2023. The retreat will provide opportunity for staff to share and reflect on the years they have worked together as a team and prepare for transition to a new entity where they may work under different units while also acknowledging that some may transition out of Oxfam.

Oxfam HECA would like to engage an expert to design and deliver a three day fun team building event intended improve team bonding, communication, and motivate the team in working together. The event will provide an ideal opportunity for learning, reflection, appreciation of each other, fun, and bonding for the entire HECA team.

The specific Terms of Reference (TOR) will include:

1. Design and deliver the two days team building retreat.

2. Coordinate a two-day offsite team building staff retreat.

3. Support and facilitate activities during pre-event, plenary activities, team initiatives, activities and closure

4. Select and deploy appropriate tools, games, and activities to help express a clear message intended for the event so as to ensure connectedness during the event.

The deliverable outcomes that will result among others shall include:

1. A strong, energized, focused, positive, and optimistic team.

   • Enhanced team communication and motivation.

Minimum requirements

1. Proven track record of conducting similar events with verified evidence.

2. Duly registered organization or individual that is verified.

3. Tax compliance

How to apply

You are required to submit a technical and financial proposal for the team building event as a package. The proposal to clearly indicate the activities to be carried out and their cost of hosting and facilitation.
